First Deputy Chairman of the Euro-Asia Division (Branch) of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventist Church
Oleg Goncharov was born in 18 June, 1970 in Serpukhov, Moscow region, in the family of technical workers.
In 1994, he graduated from Ryazan State Radio Engineering Academy as a design engineer of radio equipment.
In February 1994, he was baptized in Serpukhov SDA church.
From January 1996 he served as a pastor in the Central Conference of the West Russian Union.
From 1996 till 2001- the pastor of SDA community in Gus Hrustalny of Vladimir region.
In 2000 he graduated from Zaoksky Theological Academy as a Bachelor of Theology in Practical Theology.
From 2001 till 2004 - the pastor of SDA community in Shatura, Moscow region.
Since 2004 - the Director of Public Affairs and Religious Liberty, Communication Department, Department of Education of West Russian Union of SDA Church.
In 2005 he graduated with honors from the Department of Religious Studies of the Russian Academy of State Service under the President of Russian Federation in Moscow as a special manager of state and municipal management in the area of church-state relations.
He was trained at the master's program "Master of religion" in Zaoksky branch of Andrews University (USA).
In 2009, on the Congress he was elected to serve in the Public Affairs and Religious Liberty, Sabbath School and Personal Ministry Departments, in the same year he was elected by the Executive Committee as a Director of Communication Department of West Russian Union Conference.
Since 2011 - the first deputy chairman of the Euro-Asia Division (Branch) of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists Church.
In 2012 he became a member of the Council for Cooperation with Religious Organizations under the President of Russian Federation.
